Dr. Mark Wilkerson is currently a Clinical Instructor II for the University of Michigan and an Assistant Clinical Professor for Michigan State University. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992 from the Western University of Allied Health Sciences in California and his Doctorate of Medicine in 1994 from Wayne State School of Medicine. Residency trained in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Dr. Wilkerson has received many academic honors and teaching awards. He has been published for research in ketamine and cocaine related chest pain and is active in the education of Residents and Medical Students.
Currently, Dr. Wilkerson works as an Attending Emergency Department Physician for the University of Michigan at Hurley Medical Center. He is an ACLS and ATLS instructor and serves on multiple committees at HMC.
In addition, he is the Medical Director for STAT EMS and AMD Urgent Care in Clio.
In his spare time, Dr. Wilkerson enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and being a coach for his son’s football and baseball teams.
